I'm not sure what to tell you to improve it, but it just looks a bit flat right now, mostly because the size of the stained glass pieces in the grass do not decrease in size as you look to the horizon, though maybe that could be kind of the point, that he is stuck to a vertical background. the figure also looks a bit odd and smudged, I liked it better when it was defined well. Maybe add a inner or outer shadow or glow, or play around with blending modes. BLENDING MODES PEOPLE. Not really, but just scrolling through them is a great place to start when trying to build layers of effects. Blending modes are the key to many effects. Have you seen Mike Diva's videos on YouTube? many of the glow and grunge effects he utilizes are the result of blending modes that join together imagery in new and exciting ways.
It's good but maybe have the blue and the green faded into each other a little more.
