Annie Get Your Gun Logo
Brookfield Academy Spring Musical
Assignment: For this project you will be working as a graphic designer for BA’s marketing department. Your task is to come up with a unique logo for the play that includes the necessary text and a series of representational component(s). This logo will be projected the night of the play, made into tee-shirts and posters. Therefore your logo can only have 2 colors plus black/white (for the tee-shirt printing process). If you would like to submit more than one design that’s totally fine. In the end, we may use one studen’ts logo for a tee-shirt and another for the poster. The project will be due January 15th. You don’t have much time! You are welcome to use both Illustrator and Photoshop as this will be a cohesive introduction back into Adobe software. Original, hand-made art and scanned, found textures is encouraged. Remember complex layers can at times add just the right touch. Especially since this is a weathered, gritty, western themed project.
Ideas: Burn edges of paper, sand on the scanner, snake skin, have classmates pose for photographs, etc…
Perhaps it’s obvious that use of a Western Style font would be fitting. Remember you can download a free font to use at www.dafont.com. Remember you can rasterize your font to modify it.
Criteria:
18 x 24 inches
RGB Color Mode
300 dpi
Use Illustrator and Photoshop
Text must include: Annie Get Your Gun, Brookfield Academy Spring Musical 2013
