I think the cover is really well done with how the colors are layed out and the shapes and feel of the wood.
The back though is kind of lacking and doesn't carry the same theme with it since it's just a straight red background with text, could use the texture on the front for the back as well or do something to make it more complex.
I love the wood cut i think it turned out really well. Also i like the way you tilted the sword to make the viewers eye move around the whole cover. The black on red and red on black really brings nice unity to the whole thing. I think it's really well done.
This is one of my favorite designs. I really like the red and how it matches the black. Maybe the book review could take up some more space, but I give4 it a solid A!
